It was consecrated (in honor of the Guardian Angels) in 1765. An interesting feature of the building is its elliptical dome, decorated with frescoes by I.A. Rupp (presumably in 1867). Of the masterfully carved furniture, only the pulpit remains in the chapel.<\/p><p>\u00a0 \u00a0 The oval-shaped dome of the chapel is extremely rare in European baroque architecture. In the territory of the former Hungary, similar domes can only be found in Bratislava, Buda and Gy\u0151r. No wonder that the chapel was considered by some to be a successor to a Turkish-era mosque even in the early 20th century.
